Capsa worked with MAKE to test a beta version of our cloud document management software, with great results.
Introduction to MAKE
MAKE is a chartered building contractor based in the UK that undertakes some truly fantastic projects. Their website, www.makegroup.co.uk, features a small selection of the remarkable homes they have delivered.
We collaborated with MAKE to put our construction management software through its paces on a recent project. The MAKE mission is to “make places they can be proud of”, and our role was to provide a solution for managing the vast amount of information that goes into a project of this quality.
Our solution for managing documents
MAKE used our desktop portal to store all their construction documents in one central location. They wanted simple-to-use cloud software that didn’t tie them into a long-term contract. This is where Capsa comes into its own.
Using the experience of MAKE and the Capsa team, we fine-tuned the features that are really required to manage documents on a building project. The key feature was to ensure all document revisions were neatly stacked so the latest version was visible.
It was inevitable that there would be many users and even more documents to manage on such a complex project. MAKE fully utilised our version control and intelligent reporting to make it easy for the team to find and share information. With all team members using the shared portal to issue documents, the team always knew the latest version and avoided the pitfalls of documents in different locations.
